While historically Christ is not depicted as Asian, my two-decade artistic sojourn in Asia compelled me to reimagine representations of Jesus. My motivation stemmed from a desire to create a Jesus whom individuals like my half-Asian daughter could better connect with, moving away from the common, and often inaccurate, surfer-like portrayal. Drawing from the rich tapestry of Asian culture, my aim was to craft a visual narrative that transcends boundaries, offering a fresh perspective that resonates in our diverse, interconnected world.
